Overview

The Art of Extruded Porcelain

Frontek is a complete, open-jointed extruded porcelain rainscreen system — double-ventilated, lightweight, and engineered as a single-source solution for the full building envelope. The panels feature an optically flat honeycomb structure that delivers exceptional strength at only 6.55 lb/sf for the complete system.

Frontek's performance is independently verified: tested non-combustible per ASTM E136 with a Flame Spread Index of 0 and Smoke Developed Index of 0 (ASTM E84), structurally tested to transverse loads exceeding 100 psf (ASTM E330), and proven through 150 freeze-thaw cycles with no deleterious effects (ASTM C1026). With water absorption below 0.5%, Frontek panels are classified impervious porcelain per ANSI A137.1 — built to perform in the most demanding environmental conditions.

Available in sizes from 300×800mm to 1000×3000mm, with 80+ colors, textures, and custom color options, Frontek gives design teams complete creative flexibility without compromising code compliance or structural performance.

Omega System

A direct-fix facade system using omega-shaped vertical profiles and stainless steel clips for horizontal and vertical tile placement. While not a ventilated system — there is no air cavity — it delivers comparable construction solutions, contributes to energy savings over conventional construction, and offers an efficient way to renovate and aesthetically transform a building's skin with Frontek ceramic pieces.

Plus System

Frontek's most widely used ventilated facade system, offering quick installation and flexibility at singular points. Vertical T-profiles and multiple clip types allow panels to be anchored in various ways — including combinations of horizontally and vertically placed pieces — while delivering all the energy advantages of a true ventilated facade.

Super Plus System

A ventilated facade system defined by its firmness, with both vertical and horizontal profiles anchoring each piece. Super Plus delivers all the energy advantages of a ventilated facade while opening up additional design possibilities — combining different piece lengths, counterbalanced layouts, and multiple rigging patterns.

Finishes

Over 80 Finishes Across Every System

The Frontek collection offers a wide range of textured and volumetric solutions, alongside digitally printed designs that reproduce the beauty of quarried stone, wood, marble, and metal with exceptional realism. Every finish carries the same technical performance — the honeycomb structure, lightness, and durability of extruded porcelain are constant across the range.

Texture

A timeless range of full-mass pieces with prominent textures and natural, regular colors, with subtle tonal shading across each piece.

Soft

Natural tones and light texture in a line of models suited to modern designs, with a color range that adapts to projects in a variety of styles.

Nature

Natural appearances with a high degree of realism — the latest digital technology reproduces quarried stone, wood, and marble in extruded porcelain.

Volume

Relief-effect surfaces ranging from fine to large grooving, adding depth and geometric character to the facade. Combinable with most ranges and shades.

Colour

Frontek's most extensive range — the full RAL chart, with any shade developable on demand and a library of colors ready for immediate manufacture.

Metallic

Modern, innovative finishes that bring the beauty of metal to the facade with all the technical qualities of extruded porcelain.

XXL

Large-format pieces up to 1000×3000mm — the largest extruded porcelain panels available, delivering monumental scale with minimal joints.

Sustainability

Fired by Nature. Verified by Science.

Frontek extruded porcelain is an inherently sustainable facade material. Its primary raw material — pure, white, natural clay — is abundant, inert, and requires no chemical additives or synthetic binders. Once fired at 1200°C, porcelain is one of the most durable building materials available: impervious to UV degradation, freeze-thaw cycling, corrosion, and biological growth, with a service life measured in decades, virtually zero maintenance, and a system warranty of more than 20 years.

Sustainability extends to how Frontek is made. Greco Gres manufactures every panel in Toledo, Spain, at a facility powered by a 30,000 m² photovoltaic plant built for self-consumption, cutting production electricity demand by up to 40%. Panels are rectified dry to conserve water, and because the raw material is 100% natural and additive-free, up to 11% of unfired material is recycled directly back into production.

Frontek holds independently verified Environmental Product Declarations under the GlobalEPD program, covering the full life-cycle environmental impact of the product line and recognized by LEED and BREEAM certification programs. Combined with testing to ICC-ES AC504 acceptance criteria and non-combustibility verified per ASTM E136, Frontek provides the documentation architects need for code-compliant green building submissions.

In service, the double-ventilated open-joint system delivers measurable performance benefits. The ventilated air cavity reduces heat transfer through the building envelope — cutting heating and cooling consumption by up to 35% — while improving acoustic performance by approximately 4 dBA at 1000 Hz. And at only 6.55 lb/sf for the complete system, Frontek's lightweight honeycomb panels reduce structural load demands and lower transport emissions per square foot of facade compared to heavier cladding alternatives.
